Regarding Gustav Stickley Morris chairs, the bow arm is arguably the most desirable and valuable Morris chair he produced. Of those uncommon Morris chairs, good examples of the earlier versions are at the top of the list. Our replicas are genuinely constructed with the finest hand selected slow growth quarter-sawn white oak using pinned mortise & tenon construction. As did Gustav Stickley, we take the extra time to steam bend the backs, a feature rarely offered today. Custom stain colors and fine leather or fabric available on all our chairs. The chair shown has our "antiqued" finish which shows slightly lighter colors where the chair would normally lighten from use. Standard "unaged" finishes also available.
